Where are you located?

I am based in Hodgenville KY, but I shoot all across central Kentucky.

Do you have a studio?

No, I do not have a studio, however I do have studio lighting and back drops that I can set up in my home sessions as requested, or that I can travel to events with.
What type of sessions do you offer?

I photograph life’s big and little moments — families of all sizes (yes, I’m a professional toddler chaser and I promise to make husbands look like they’re having fun), glowing mamas-to-be, cozy in-home newborn sessions, milestones, couples in love, confident seniors and grads, intimate in-home boudoir, and relaxed lifestyle sessions where we’re simply hanging out at home, strolling Target, or meeting up for a coffee date. I also capture gatherings and events, adventures near and far, and small, heartfelt weddings and elopements.
In short, I capture the moments that matter most — the ones meant to be remembered forever.
How do I book a session?

You can reach me through my contact page, go to my booking site, send me an email at hello@ashleynashphoto.com, or contact me directly via text at 270-218-4460. A $55.00 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date, and the remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
What's the booking process like?

You can find that step-by-step information here.

What's included in my package?

Each package includes a specific number of edited digital images and access to a proof gallery to select your favorites. You can also purchase extra images or upgrade to the full gallery.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Proof galleries are delivered within 1–3 business days, and final edited images are ready 2-3 week after you make your selections, depending on season and current client load.
What should we wear?

Firstly, you should know that I don't think clothing is as important as you'd think, so if you're stressing about it, stop! I’ll help guide you with outfit choices based on your style and the session look you want. Neutrals, pastels, and soft tones photograph beautifully for a lighter editing style, but I'm a sucker for bold reds, navy blues, and rustic oranges and army green's, that give that deep color and dark stand out contrast type of edit.
If you want advice in the back of your mind to calm your nerves, here is a blog post, which includes, tips, tricks and suggestions for flattery, being comfortable and more.
Do you travel for sessions?

Yes — I offer in-home and outdoor sessions within a 30-mile radius of Hodgenville. Travel beyond that distance will include a small fee of .85¢ per mile.
How do payments work?

You can pay your session retainer ($50 due at time of booking) and balance via credit/debit card, Venmo, Cash App, Chime, Klarna & Affirm. (sales tax applies to card payments). Remaining balance after retainer is paid will be automatically broke down into payments for convince, or you can pay in full. MINI DAY SESSIONS are always due in full at time of booking.
Can I order prints or albums?

Yes! I offer professional prints, framed wall art, and fine-art photo books that you can order directly through your online gallery for convenience and quality.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Life happens! You may reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice. For your first reschedule, your retainer will transfer to your new date. For any reschedules after that, a new retainer will be required. Retainers are non-refundable for cancellations.
When should I book my maternity session?
The ideal time is between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy when your belly is beautifully round, and you’re still comfortable posing. I recommend booking at least 1–2 months in advance to secure your preferred date.
When is the best time to photograph newborns?
Newborn sessions are best done within the first 5–14 days after birth while your baby is still very sleepy and flexible for gentle posing. If your baby is older, don’t worry — we can still capture beautiful lifestyle portraits.
“I never like how I look in photos.”

I hear this all the time — and almost always, it’s not true. You are gorgeous.
With over a decade of experience, I guide you through flattering, natural posing, use soft, beautiful light (hello, golden hour), and edit with intention. I gently soften shadows, fade blemishes, and clean up small distractions while keeping you looking like you — never over-edited or unrealistic.
If a photo isn’t flattering, it won’t make your gallery. Simple as that.
“My partner/kids don’t like taking photos — now what?”

You’re not alone. Most reluctant adults leave saying, “That was easier (and faster) than I expected.” I keep sessions relaxed, efficient, and pressure-free.
For kids, we make it fun — playing, snuggling, being silly, and just spending time together. I don’t force smiles; I let them warm up naturally and lean into lifestyle moments first, then gently guide posed shots if they’re ready. Not every photo needs a perfect smile — real life is beautiful, and that’s exactly what I capture.
My child has special needs — should I be nervous?

Not at all. I’m patient, flexible, and happy to spend extra time so your child can feel comfortable — at no extra cost. If helpful, I can also schedule your session at the beginning or end of a mini day to allow more flexibility.
What is the difference between your seasonal mini sessions and your full session collections?

Mini sessions include less shooting time, fewer final images, and a smaller group size, with preset dates, locations, themes, and time slots. If you’re looking for more flexibility or a customized experience, a full session is likely the better fit.
What if the weather is bad?

I schedule all of my sessions at an outdoor location, but, I can't control the weather! If it's supposed to rain, I will work with my clients to either shoot a little earlier in the day, or figure out a rain date, if it's needed. If it's a super cloudy day, I will still shoot, especially since clouds can look GORGEOUS close to sunset!
If it's cold and you'd like to go through with your session, I will wear a coat! LOL. Basically, I don't mind if you don't mind.
How long do you keep galleries backed up on your computer?
In short, edited images are guaranteed to be stored for one year. While I do keep files beyond that, anything can happen — so please download and back up your images in multiple places.
Behind the scenes, your galleries are backed up daily on both my computer and an external hard drive for added security.
